Floyd County Medical Center is a Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic located in Charles City, Iowa. Charles City is a beautiful river town located in Northeast Iowa. Sitting right off the Avenue of the Saints, Charles City offers residents small town living with easy access to bigger, metropolitan areas. Although residents have easy access to metropolitan areas, there is no reason to leave Charles City for personalized, advanced medical care. FCMC strives to provide high quality, safe care to our patients, with respect and consideration to their families. We have 215 employees who are dedicated to this goal. FCMC provides inpatient and skilled nursing care, multi-specialty surgical services, obstetrics, as well as numerous outpatient and diagnostic services. Nursing staff enjoy working at FCMC because they have the ability to master multiple units including our medical-surgical floor, emergency department, birth center, and operating room.
