All visitors to Floyd County Medical Center will recieve the highest quality inpatient and skilled nursing care. In addition, FCMC provides numerous outpatient services.

Audiology

Floyd County Medical Center offers Audiology services from Doug Vogelson, Au.D., Doctor of Audiology.

Birth Center

We invite you to tour our family oriented Birth Center and experience the warm homelike atmosphere throughout our secured unit.

Cardiac Rehab

Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation, as described by the U.S. Public Health Service is a comprehensive, long-term program including medical evaluation, prescribed exercise, cardiac risk factor modification, education and counseling.

Diabetic Education

Whether you have recently been diagnosed with diabetes or you have had diabetes for a while now, Floyd County Medical Center's Diabetes Self Management Program can help.

Emergency Department

The Floyd County Medical Center Level IV Trauma Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty five days a year and ready to serve you.

Enterostomal Therapy

ET Nursing (Enterostomal Therapy Nursing) specializes in the care of wounds (any type) or ostomy problems no matter what the case.

Lab

Floyd County Medical Center's Laboratory is a full-service laboratory that offers a full range of services and provides blood collections, specimen testing, as well as health screenings for businesses in the community.

Levels of Care

In the past, when you or a family member went to the hosptial, you were automatically put in at the "Acute Care" level, as that was the only level of care there was.  This is no longer true.  Currently we have nine levels of care.

Nutritional Services

Floyd County Medical Center's registered dietitian is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists help you live your life more independently after an injury or illness.

Outpatient Services

Outpatient specialty clinics play an important role in the delivery of health care. By bringing specialists to our community, we complement our local medical staff.

Radiology

Floyd County Medical Center Radiology Department offers a wide variety of high quality imaging services taken on "state of the art" equipment comparable to larger facilities.

SHIIP

SHIIP stands for Senior Health Insurance Information Program. It's a free program for seniors and their families from the State of Iowa Insurance Division.

Sleep Studies

Diagnostic sleep testing is performed at Floyd County Medical Center by the staff of Midwest Sleep Services, Inc. of Waterloo, IA.

Speech Therapy

The speech pathology department at the Floyd County Medical Center provides a wide range of diagnostic, consultative, treatment and education services to inpatient and outpatient children and adults with communication and swallowing impairments.
