Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP)

SHIIP stands for Senior Health Insurance Information Program. It's a free program for seniors and their families from the State of Iowa Insurance Division. Trained SHIIP counselors can help you find answers to the important questions you have on Medicare, Medicare supplement insurance, long term care insurance, and other health insurance issues.

Assistance is provided at no charge and clients receive complete confidentiality and impartial information to help them make well-informed decisions.
