I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Allen College in Waterloo, Iowa in 1999. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing/Midwifery online from the University of Cincinnati in 2012.
I enjoy the personal connections I make with the women I serve and teaching women about their bodies.
Calming, caring and passionate.

I graduated in 2007 from Iowa State University with a Bachelors of Science. After working in another industry for a few years, I decided to go back to school. I graduated with my nursing degree from Northeast Iowa Community College in 2017. I then went on to complete a bridge program to earn my Masters in Nurse Midwifery through Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2018 and Masters of Science in Midwifery in May 2021.
This is my first position as a Certified Nurse Midwife. I did, however, complete a year and a half clinicals at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, Iowa and Mercy One in Waterloo, Iowa.
I love getting to work with families throughout their prenatal journey. The best part about being a midwife is getting to watch parents grow into their new roles. It is special watching parents fall in love the first time they get to hold their beautiful baby that they have been hoping and praying for. We as midwifes, are there to help them have a safe and wonderful birth experience and I feel so privileged each time I get to be part of a family’s birth story.
I love getting to work in a small, rural hospital where every patient matters.
Hobbies, who has time! I love spending time with my husband and four children. We try to spend as much time outdoors as possible - gardening, hiking and riding bikes. I also enjoy baking and doing crafts.
