Floyd County Medical Center would like to announce the retirement of Kathy Haus, BSN, RN, Emergency Services Director and the hiring of Rachel Conrad, BSN, RN as our new Emergency Services Director.
Kathy has been a valued employee of FCMC for over 34 years. Her dedication and leadership have been constant since her first day of employment, May 18, 1987. Kathy gained valuable experience over the years on the Medical Surgical Floor, staffing the ICU before its closing, being the full-time Nursing Supervisor for evening shift, and working in the Emergency Department. On July 2, 2000, Kathy became the Emergency Services Director. Thank you, Kathy, for your many years of service! Kathy’s last day is April 1, 2022. Enjoy your retirement Kathy!
Rachel has worked at FCMC for the past 6 years. She started her professional nursing career almost 10 years ago at MercyOne North Iowa. Rachel currently works as a Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical, Birth Center, and Emergency Departments, as well as a Nursing Supervisor. Rachel is a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) and was an instructor for Childbirth Education. Rachel will transition into her new role upon Kathy’s retirement on April 1, 2022.
