On May 31, 2022, Floyd County Medical Center was awarded the Governor’s Volunteer Award for 20 years of sponsorship of SHIIP (Senior Health Insurance Information Program). Present to accept the award were SHIIP volunteers Joan Lore and Kathy Berends. Other volunteers not present include Ron James and Linda Lindaman. Shanelle Harken is FCMC’s SHIIP Coordinator. Kathy Berends and Joan Lore were also recognized for their years of service as SHIIP volunteers. Kathy has been volunteering for 5 years and Joan for 6 years. Thank you to the SHIIP volunteers for supporting this wonderful program. Congratulations!
