Charles City, IA—Iowa Donor Network (IDN) is proud to announce that Floyd County Medical Center (FCMC) in Charles City is the recipient of Iowa Donor Network’s 2023 LEGACI Award for Advocacy. An award presentation ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 at FCMC with Natalie Oakes, Partner Relations Coordinator with IDN.
This award is given to IDN’s partner agencies and/or their dedicated team members for going above and beyond to collaborate with IDN on meeting its mission of “Working Together to Transform Lives through Organ and Tissue Donation”. There are six categories under the LEGACI Awards: Leadership, Education, Gratitude, Advocacy, Clinical Excellence, and Innovation. The award for advocacy is given to individuals and/or partner agencies who mentors others in the donation process, carries the message of donation beyond the walls of their department, demonstrates a willingness to talk to others in the community to promote donation, and participates in events within the community to raise awareness about donation.
Donation is a collaborative effort and Iowa Donor Network is grateful to the entire Floyd County Medical Center team for all they do to promote donation in their hospital and their community.
