In preparation for Floyd County Medical Center’s construction of our new FCMC Clinic, there are many “behind the scenes” items that need to happen prior to construction this spring.
In order to provide the most accessible and safest parking lot designs for the public, a few trees on our campus will be removed to accommodate the future parking lots and parking lot changes. We adjusted the new parking lot design to save as many existing trees as possible, however a few dedicated trees are slated for removal. We want to assure the public all memorial plaques will be rededicated once clinic construction is complete.
We were notified by the tree removal company that this process will begin tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024 and will continue over the next couple weeks. We will continue to communicate important patient information as construction preparations progress this spring. The picture below indicates the finished lot.
