Our Admissions/Outpatient parking lot and entrance will be closing permanently beginning Monday, June 24th.

Patients/visitors please use our main entrance (Rotunda) from Monday June 24th, until further notice for the services outlined below.

Our auxiliary volunteers will be stationed at the (Rotunda/Main) entrance to help patients/visitors with wayfinding.

Please follow signage posted outside on the street corner of Main Street and 11th Street which will direct patients/visitors to this entrance and parking.

The front & side parking lot highlighted in light blue on the attached map will be designated for patient/visitor parking for hospital patients and visitors seeking inpatient and outpatient healthcare for the following services:

  • Cafeteria
  • Diabetes Management

SERVICES NOT IMPACTED:

The Emergency Room, Urgent Care, FCMC Family Practice Clinic, Speech and Occupational Therapy locations, entrances and parking will NOT be impacted by these changes, please see the map above for more details.

Floyd County Medical Center broke ground on a multi-million-dollar expansion project in June 2024, the largest of its kind since the hospital was built in 1965. The entire project will cost $40 million and is funded by owner equity, USDA loan, grants, and local bank financing. Anticipated completion date is spring of 2026.

  • New speech and occupational therapy departments
  • Updates and expansion to the lab department
  • New conference and training room
  • Increased convenient parking
  • New hospital pharmacy (with improvements to accommodate future oncology infusions)
  • New 3-story clinic that houses the Rural Health Family Practice Clinic - which includes Obstetrics and Urgent Care - and the New Outpatient Specialist Clinic
