Pediatric First Aid Class Information
The American Heart Association Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid class is offered to groups of five or more and may be scheduled throughout the year. Cost for the two-hour course is $55 per person – workbook and e-card included.
This course is designed for people with no medical background and certifies the individual in how to manage illnesses and injuries in a child in the first few minutes of an emergency until professional help arrives. Topics include child safety, first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, and environmental emergencies. This course also teaches tips for the prevention of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and prevention of the most common fatal injuries in infants and children. This course is ideal for teachers, childcare professionals, schools, daycare centers, and camps. Re-certification is recommended every two years.
