Floyd County Medical Center offers a full range of women’s health services from a teen’s first gynecological visit through post-menopausal years. No matter what stage of life you are in, you will find exceptional and personalized health care with any of our experienced, compassionate providers.

  • Annual well-women exam – including pap smear and breast exam
  • Update of health status
  • Routine lab tests discussion of any findings
  • Referrals for outside services
  • Recommendations for health maintenance
  • Breast care – exams, mammography, biopsy, lumpectomy, mastectomy, referrals for further treatment


  • Pre-conceptual counseling
  • Contraception – oral contraceptive pills, IUD (Liletta and Paragard), and subdermal implants (Nexplanon)
  • Family planning
  • Adolescents & teens
  • PMS – including abnormal periods, painful periods
  • Abnormal vaginal bleeding
  • Abnormal pap smears
  • Vaginitis, Urinary tract infection, other common infections
  • Preventive care – breast exams, pap smears, STD screening
  • STD treatment
  • Infertility – Evaluation & treatment, hormone testing and semen analysis, ovulation induction, and referral for hysterosalpingogram, IVF and advanced infertility treatment
  • Menopause – hormone replacement therapy, post-menopausal bleeding, osteoporosis
  • Urinary incontinence – medication and occupational therapy program
